Queer as Folk

Queer as Folk

A drama show about the lives and loves of a group of gay people living in Pittsburgh. Traverses their lives as they deal with sex, marriage, romance, birth, death, bigotry and other issues that affect both straight and gay people.

"I bought the DVDs on a whim because I enjoyed the UK version, and I'm so pleased I did. It's a decision I haven't regretted. The show struggles to find its feet for the first four or five episodes but after that it is five seasons of brilliance. No matter how many times I rewatch this show it amazes me how it can go from funny to heartbreaking within the space of an episode and even though some of the storylines are cracked out it doesn't make the characters unrelatable. My favourite thing about the show is that although most of the characters are gay, it doesn't define them and they still deal with all the regular crap that normal people go through. This show is awesome and my only complaint is that I wish they'd made more episodes."
